Welcome to Three Times Magazine! We’re excited to have you as part of our community of writers and creators.

You’re joining a collective of independent voices who believe in the power of thoughtful, authentic storytelling. Three Times Magazine was born from the conviction that the best writing doesn’t come from fitting into someone else’s mold, but from having the freedom to explore ideas that matter to you. Whether you’re an established writer, an emerging voice, or someone who simply has something important to say, this is your platform.

These guidelines will help you understand our expectations and processes as a contributor. We’ve designed them to be flexible enough to honor your creative autonomy while maintaining the quality and integrity that our readers expect. Think of these less as rules and more as a framework for collaboration. Our goal is to support your work, amplify your voice, and build something meaningful together.

If you have questions at any point, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re all figuring this out together, and your input helps shape what Three Times Magazine becomes.

Our Mission

Three Times Magazine exists to look twice at the culture we consume and the ideas we inherit. We publish interviews, articles, and think pieces that explore art, identity, belief, ambition, and contradiction, centering independent creators while questioning the systems, trends, and assumptions that shape creative life. Our work is curious, skeptical, and reflective, guided by conversation rather than consensus. We’re less interested in what’s popular than in what’s true enough to sit with.

Contribution Expectations

Posting Frequency: Contributors are expected to submit at least one piece per month and remain active within the community. Three months of inactivity will result in backend access being moved to standby status. Prolonged inactivity may result in removal from the staff, though reapplication is always welcome.

Content Types: We accept all forms of literature, including articles, essays, interviews, reviews, poetry, short stories, and more. If you can write it, we want to read it.

Word Count: Articles must be a minimum of 500 words. Poetry does not have a word count requirement. All pieces are subject to editing.

Publication Schedule

Three Times Magazine publishes new content three times per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the week, so you can submit at any time. Selected pieces will be scheduled for our next available publication day.

Submission Process

How to Submit:

  • Email submissions are welcome ([email protected])
  • Staff writers with backend access can publish directly through WordPress (pending editorial review)
  • You can submit finished pieces at any time
  • Pitching ideas for collaborative feedback is highly encouraged but not required

What to Include:

  • Your written piece
  • A short bio (50-100 words)
  • Links to your social media and/or website
  • Any images you’d like to include with proper photo credits
  • Sources and links for any claims, statistics, or factual information

Turnaround Time: Expect feedback within one day minimum. Our goal is a quick turnaround.

Editorial Process

All pieces will be reviewed and edited before publication. If revisions are needed, I’ll provide feedback on what should be revised to fit the magazine’s style and aesthetic. You’re welcome to make revisions yourself or collaborate with me on edits. The goal is always to preserve your voice while ensuring quality and alignment with our mission.

Rights and Republishing

You retain all rights to your work. You’re free to publish simultaneously on Substack, Medium, your personal blog, or any other platform. You can also submit work that has been previously published elsewhere, as long as you hold the rights to it.

Style and Content

Topics: There are no topics or themes that are off-limits. Everything has a place and section within Three Times Magazine.

Style: Style guidelines are flexible and at the writer’s discretion. We value authentic voices and unique perspectives.

Deadlines: Submissions are ongoing with no strict deadlines.

Images and Visuals

Writers are encouraged to include images with their pieces. You can provide your own images or source copyright-free ones. All images must include proper photo credits.

Bylines and Credits

All published pieces will credit you directly as the writer, including links to your social media and website as provided.

Community Expectations

We highly encourage all contributors to read, support, comment on, and share work from other writers published on Three Times Magazine. We’re building a community, not just a publication.
